Situated between a memory play, text-based abstraction and book readings, oscillating between fiction and reality, this performance is based on the six novels written by Ridhwan Saidi from 2011 to 2015.

ROSHAFIQ ROSLEE is a Malaysian theatre and film dabbler. He is a film graduate from UiTM and is currently the creative producer for Superdough, the company that produced Hauntu, Breakout & Spy Game. His years of theatrical acting career started in 2006 where he debuted in Teater Muzikal Adat Perpatih under the direction of Aminah Rhapor. Since then, Roshafiq has worked in countless theatre productions in the span of 16 years of his performing arts career. He’s had the opportunity to work with Malaysian renowned directors namely Hatta Azad Khan, Razaisyam Rashid, Roslee Mansor, Mazlan Tahir and many more. He has done numerous plays under Ridhwan’s direction since 2018.
MEIER WEE is an actor who is passionate about people and their stories. She enjoys attending theatre performances and often goes to acting related workshops. She has performed in Light of Dust, Teater Normcore: Hamlet Fansuri and Teater Normcore: Masam Manis. She is now working on writing her first short play.
SADIQ M. JAMIL is a graduate of Sekolah Seni Malaysia, Johor & Faculty Film Theater & animation, UiTM. He is now a model and an actor who sometimes does makeup and directing. He has performed in many theatre productions, notably Kopiah Putih dan Straw Bergincu Dibibirnya, Teater Normcore: Masam Manis and most recently 14 Februari. He is a Malaysia record holder for performing the longest Non-Stop monologue theater by an individual and has had the opportunity to work with many Malaysian actors on screen and on stage such as Beto Kusyairy, Zahiril Adzim, Juliana Evens & Nadia Brian
ARCHANA PILLAI is a diversity consultant and cultural practitioner with a background in psychology. She has ten years of experience in community development and alternative models for social justice through experiential programme design. She is involved in films, film analysis and writing. Her performance credits include Monolog Desktop (2021), Menjadi Laila dan Sairah (2021), Karaoke Medea (2022) and Ma, I Love You (extra, 2022). Other creative endeavors include being a backbone member of Bilik Sejahtera, a multidisciplinary project mentored by Jo Kukathas that explored grief, isolation, aloneness, and a global crisis.
ADENA SAMS is a theatre graduate who performed in Teater Psikogenik for her final year performance and after which she took a break following her pregnancy in 2019. She reignites her love and passion for stage by joining Sunway Lagoon Nights of Frights for Halloween 2022. She has performed in plays by Ridhwan Saidi notably in Teater Modular: Brokoli and Teater Normcore: Tiada Cinta Selama Muda.
LEE QI is a full-time actress currently based in Selangor, Malaysia. Her love and passion for entertainment and arts led her to pursue acting in both on screen and on stage. With a double degree in film studies, Lee Qi swiftly debuted as an actress in 2019. Her theatre experiences include, The Life Of Jane(s) (2022) and Pleiades (2019), both being devised plays. Lee Qi aims to be a versatile actress, playing a wide range of characters and hopes to train this craftsmanship internationally as well.
RIDHWAN SAIDI is a Malaysian independent filmmaker, writer and theatre practitioner. He co-curated Pesta Playlet in 2019, an artist-run non-profit common ground for performance-based initiative through community building, research, workshop, discourse and publications. His latest works include Tiada Cinta Selama Muda (director) which premiered at Singapore International Film Festival 2020, Bangsawan Gemala Malam (playwright) commissioned by Singapore International Festival of Arts 2022, and Menjadi Laila dan Sairah (director) that has been screened at Jogja NETPAC Asian Film Festival 2021 and is set to screen at London Short Film Festival 2023.
LIM PAIK YIN is a visual anthropologist and an interdisciplinary artist working with the camera, and site-specific performance. Her works use the human body as a visual motif to explore the various ideologies and political forces that shape attitudes towards the human bodies. Her praxis in movement explores the origins of movement and impulses, seeking to find ways to create spaces for people to move in new ways and embark on a journey of self-actualization. She has created multimedia works and conducted workshops linking dance with the camera since 2015.
SANDEE CHEW is a multidisciplinary actor, who does lighting design and dramaturgy. She often works in collaborative ensembles in a mix of scripted and devised works, and avidly supports new work developments. She is a co-founder of Shakespeare Demystified, and a core member of KL Shakespeare Player’s Exchange Theatre. She also co-coordinates Panas Panas Theatre’s Women’s Play Marathon. Recent works include Old Lear, which received a Special Mention in Milan, as well as Karaoke Medea and khakkhakkhak at KongsiKL.
NURUL AIZAM is a theatre and film producer. She co-founded Moka Mocha Ink in 2011 and has worked on the editorial section of the publishing house. She’s been expanding her creative endeavor and plunged into media by producing and managing multiple short films and theatre productions. She is one of the coordinators for Wayang Budiman, a film club by Pusat Kajian & Apresiasi Filem. Her experimental film project Tiada Cinta Selama Muda (2020), is a feature film she produced with Ensembel Teater Kaos Nol, a theatre collective she’s been working with the past 5 years.
